I went to the store today to get some fruit and vegetables and I stopped in front of the figs and thought "why not?". It's ages since I have had fresh figs, I used to be a bit obsessed with the dried version, but fresh ones didn't use to be that easy to come by. And there they were. So I decided to make a small snack/cheese dish/dessert, call it whatever you want, it was good. If it looks like something you want to try, you need a fresh fig, a bit of blue cheese, some toasted seeds and a bit of honey. Easy!
If you haven't toasted seeds before, just choose some seeds you like, throw them in a pan and roast on low heat. Keep a close eye on these little babies, they burn like crazy if you let them, and they aren't that good when roasted too much...
