Yesterday's breakfast/brunch/ lunch was at Tom's Deli on Wesbourne Grove in Notting Hill. We arrived just at the same time as every trendy Notting Hill'er. There were the hungover cool kids in sunglasses and ripped denim, the yummy mummies in long dresses and glittery sandals, the French girls, the group of hungover guys and the trendy couples wearing Ray-Bans. We were not so trendy. But I had heard the food was good and the weather was nice so it seemed like a good idea. Note to self, Notting Hill should be a no-no on the weekend. Anyways, we queued and we queued, then we sat down, ordered after a bit of time and then we waited. Another note to self, very busy restaurants isn't always a good idea. But we did get our food in the end and it was very good. On the weekend they serve all-day brunch, all the normal stuff like full English, pancakes and croissants, and the prices are ok. I was too stuffed after Eggs Benedict to attempt a second anything, but there is a banana-bread French toast on that menu that has my name on it. I will be back Tom, I will be back.
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
