Last year around this time I went to one of my favourite shops, Uniqlo of course, and bought tons of knitted stuff and a light down jacket. I think outerwear is something most of us don't buy that often, we might go to H&M any season and buy as many tshirts as we can carry, but jackets are reserved mostly for winter and we'll get one, not many. So when I bought my jacket last year, I was using up my winter jacket quota and I was thinking "Is this worth it?" It turns out it was. I have worn this jacket so much that if we divide the cost by times worn, I'm as close to being in minus as you can get. I can easily call this the best purchase of 2011. The jacket is thin but warm, it fits under a fur vest, it fits over a jeans jacket, a leather jacket and any other type of jacket you want to wear. Wear it to keep warm when going somewhere, and when you get there, take it off and roll it up and it will fit in your bag. Typical Uniqlo to make something useful and versatile.
