The majority of our travel itinerary revolves around food, both my husband and I love great food and a holiday isn't good if we don't have great meals. So a lot if research is done on what restaurants to go to and sometimes (all the time!) we plan our day based on where we want to eat. Sad? Maybe, but at least we eat well! In Brooklyn we came accross St Anselm and we tried to walk in one day about 7pm for a table and the wait was 2 hours. So we armed ourselves with knowledge and rocked up at 6pm the next day and waited a bit more than 1 hour for our table. It was worth it.
The concept at St Anselm is that they pop almost everything they serve on the grill, something I think is a great idea. Grilled avocado? Amazing.
Main courses were amazing, I had beef that was so well cooked and tasted amazing. We shared the grilled mashed potato (grilled! I know) and some green veg, we all need a bit of vegetables. Unfortunately the lighting was really dark and the pictures don't do the food justice, but if you find yourself in Williamsburg around dinner time, this is definitely a place to visit!
