Nightjar is one of those places you hear about, want to go to, realize it's in Shoreditch and file it away for next week end, or the one after that. And then the day comes when you have talked about going for about 6 months and you have no choice, it's getting embarrassing A couple of friends dragged myself and the boyfriend out last weekend for some drinks and live jazz. I didn't really know what we were going to, which was probably even better, I could be pleasantly surprised.
Unfortunately I didn't come prepared (left the camera at home, amateur I know)and had to take all these drink pictures with my iPhone. And I took plenty of pictures, these were little masterpieces of creativity and flavours. Deadly strong, but looking good.
The live entertainment was jazz, good music, bad for talking. So we resorted to what one must do, dancing. And broke it down 1920's style all the way. Nightjar is a great place if you want to go wild with creative cocktails, get your dance on, have fun with some friends and totally forget the time and end up in a bit of a transport-home dilemma at 2 am. That's what Addison Lee is for I believe.
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
