New Years Eve. I'm almost done talking about this, just let me get these pictures up and then we can wash our hands of 2012 and get started with 2013. I mean, NYE is so 2012.
As mentioned before, this year was different. No house party, no illness, just dinner at a restaurant. As around 99% of my London crew go away for Christmas and New Years there aren't many friends to house party with anyways, so the boyfriend and I took a good friend to a restaurant to enter the new year with plenty of good food and wine in our bodies.
There were starters, champagne, serious main courses and at the end, just because it was the last day of sugar for me, I even forced down a dessert. Despite the fact that I felt a bit like throwing up. Charming I know, but that's me.
Main courses as seen above: pork belly which was utterly delicious, and the men shared a cote de boeuf, which was equally good.
An after dinner new glasses of champagne arrived, with some sweet wine, and we counted down until it was 23.58 and ran out to see the fireworks.
We toasted the new year, I spilled champagne on my dress, our friend dropped his phone and the police were watching with us. Not a bad start to 2013. And then we headed back to the restaurant to have some more champagne.
And I was using my new learher clutch from Su Misura. It's tiny and I love it!
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
