While it might look like I spend most of my days in restaurants having lunch or dinners, that is very far from the truth. Although I did go to Natural Kitchen in Marylebone two weeks back to catch up with an old colleague turned friend. We worked in a gym together and she is still in the fitness industry while my only claim to fitness is my trips to the gym, which have been less and less in the past weeks. Need to get on that, don't I? Back to Natural Kitchen, I have been before and I was not impressed. The place was very warm, boiling, and the food was so so. But ever the optimist I am always up for giving a restaurant a second chance. It also helps that Marylebone High Street is nice. I might have gone for a veggie option, goats cheese salad, (my date that afternoon is a vegetarian and sometimes I join her in her food choices) but it was very good, nice presented and very very filling. Neither of us finished our salads and I rarely leave food on my plate, so I guess that says something? The good thing is after your meal you can wander about the shop and contemplate expensive food items or some of their ready meals. I had to talk myself out of several bags of fancy popcorn and a tub of birchermuesli that cost about £3.90 for a pot.
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
