I either over work myself or go the opposite direction and do very little. Lately I have been going for the first option without really realising it and now I am feeling the pain (a cold, stiff neck and I am soooooo tired), which means I need to rest, which means I need a massage. So that's what I did yesterday. I took the boyfriend to Covent Garden and we both got a treatment and then went on to lunch with a friend. We have talked about going for a roast for ages and were debating where, but ended up in The Northall at The Corinthia. They do a 3 course roast feast which was begging to be tried. I have had beef there before that was beyond tender, so why not, right? I feel like I am still new to these British traditions like the Sunday roast, yorkshire puddings, mince pies and the rest, so it is important to try, learn and love. 3 courses it was. Here are the starters:
The main was, of course, roast beef, the size of London. I couldn't even finish half, which was a shame. Which left little room for dessert, but fear not, there is always room for dessert, which is why we headed to the lobby for a cup of tea and a monster slice of stollen. Afterwards I felt less than good, I need to learn when to say stop, but it is difficult when a slice of cake is looking at you, going "eat me!". And you should know by now that I did. I had to nap when we get home, and that is no joke.
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
