It feels a little bit weird to leave, and one of my absolute least favorite things to do is saying goodbye and leaving a job. Which is probably why I was in a destructive work environment for more than 1.5 years a couple of years back, and I regret not leaving that destructive place earlier. The job I said goodbye to last week was not as bad, but there was still room for improvement, I think I have just been really unlucky with my choice of workplaces so far in London. Except, of course, my current little slice of heaven (cake?) in West Hampstead where I spend my weekends working amongst cupcakes and sugar clouds with some of the nicest people I know.
I am now getting my evenings back (I used to work a late shift) and I have grand plans for how to spend them, and it's not watching CSI and eating popcorn. I just can't wait to get back to being creative, make proper dinners and go to some evening classes at the gym and be social with friends all the time. It's time to fill up my social calendar.
