The other day I was reading a blog (surprise) about food and reading through a recipe for Granola coated nuts, my heart started beating faster, my breathing became more rapid and I had stars in my eyes. Yes, I am exited when it comes to food, especially when it sounds this yummy. And it had to be easy to make. So I of course ran out to get the ingredients, got super excited, and then didn't have time to make them for about a week. Typical. This morning when I was making breakfast the walnuts were looking at me, going "I'd like to be crusted in granola now, if you don't mind". I didn't, and left breakfast half finished and went on to better things. I am very glad I did, because this stuff tasted very good, there isn't too much left to be honest, and the possibilities are endless! Next time I am going wild with the cinnamon, and I have plans for a more coco-nutty version. And maybe even some chocolate granola, and that is both afternoon snacks, creative cooking and Christmas presents sorted in one. Done, baby, done.
