Lately I have been pretty serious about my glitter DIY projects. There has been a gold glitter tub in the house, and it's difficult to let it lie. So when the gold glitter ended up next to the Easter eggs, a serious idea formed in my head. Yep, gold glitter Easter eggs. What could be better?
Glittering anything is pretty straight forward, you only need mod podge (decoupage glue) and glitter and a pencil or sponge applicator. When I glitter I first apply the decoupage glue to whatever it is I am covering in glitter, then I put glitter on top of the glue and shake off the excess. Then leave it to dry for a couple of hours. You could leave it to that, but the glitter is prone to get everywhere so to seal it all I apply a layer of decoupage glue on top. It will look a bit white, but the glue becomes blank once it dries and you get the full glitter effect of the gold without having glitter everywhere. Much like I got all over my hands when I was glittering away.
Then just fill your egg with goodies of your choice, I filled mine with candy and chocolate and then wrapped them all up and played Easter bunny. Yep, all my colleagues got one! Lucky girls, don't you think?
