Calm down, I know I'm still going on about Coworth Park and my mini break, but there was just so much happening, so bear with me, it won't be much longer. Alternatively, if you enjoy these posts, ignore the previous sentence. For the second dinner at Coworth Park we went to The Barn which is a bit more relaxed and rustic than Restaurant Coworth Park. The decorations, the food, it's all barn inspired. I fell for the references to horses and it helps that the polo field is basically right outside the door. And who diesn't like a big hare/rabbit statue?
I have nothing bad to say about the food either, we shared a mozzarella tomato bread thing which was very good, I was thinking about getting a second one just for myself after finishing the first, but I was so happy I stayed sane and didn't when our mains arrived. I had pork belly, the biggest portion I have seen in a long time. Value for money, and also the reason why I had to skip dessert. I struggled a bit in the end, but learned that apple with mashed potato is a good idea, and pork belly served up in a circle is an even better idea, just go easy on the bread basket and the nuts served up with drinks, those babies fill you up and take away precious dessert space
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
