Imagine this: you are on your way to an interview, it's in an hour and you want to sit down for a coffee. But ou have to go to the bathroom first. Imagine you are in Soho in London, where, it turns out, there are no bathrooms in the restaurants. Imagine you don't know what to do, but remember there is a hotel close by and you start making up excuses to use their bathroom, before you can go and get a coffee somewhere else. That was me yesterday. But on my way to the aforementioned hotel, I came across Wahaca (don't worry, I can't pronounce it either), stopped long enough to read a bit I the menu and was loured in by churros and chocolate. A simple soul indeed. It ended up with me rushing to get to the interview with chocolate everywhere, feeling a bit guilty for having chocolate on a Thursday. Luckily this is a happy ending, because the churros were good and so was the interview.
And the perfect finish, with my bill I got this little booklet that made me wonder, especially since most people don't use matches, but once I opened it up I realised I was holding a small packet of chili seeds. Genius!
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
