Stamp it, paint it, emboss it, engrave it, you name it, and I will buy it! I am so incredibly weak for anything that has my initials or my name on it. It almost borders on obsessive, like I need to keep something with me that can remind me of my name and who I am. Maybe that is it. Or maybe it is the feeling of something made for me specifically: an embossed wallet is distinctly more mine than just a plain old wallet. A bracelet with my initials on it is useless to most people but me. I almost want to order little fabric tags to sew inside my clothes, like we had as kids, just to make that new Uniqlo shirt a bit more mine.
Without realizing I have acquired quite the collection of rose jewellery lately, all the earrings are from Su Misura and the ring is a steal from Primark (but all their stuff is a steal at those prices).
Supposedly burgundy is a colour to watch and wear this fall so it suits me very well that I could dig up this bag from last year to participate in the trend, without spending a pretty penny (the bag is from Su Misura, my mum's store which is of course on of my favourite hangouts in Oslo). The boyfriend and I are trying to go on a non-spending spree, but Ebay and various other internet sites are corrupting me and I find myself admitting to a tiny Ebay purchase almost every day. Maybe I am better off without the internet at home, less temptation.
I'm not one for dedicated camera bags and such, how annoying to have to carry 2 bags instead of 1, I have a big enough problem taking care of my belongings in the one bag I usually carry. So I prefer to have little pouches or something similar to put my camera in, after all, I do want it to live a long life and I owe it as much as giving it a fitting place to rest in between heavy use. And this is it, minty fresh leather with silver heart print from Su Misura. Yes, it's lined, what do you take me for...
Originally I was using the camera strap that came with my camera when it was bought, but it was just very bulky and difficult to handle when taking the camera out of my bag, putting it back in, taking it out again, carrying it a bit in my hand, putting it in my bag, taking it out, trying to fit the camera in my jacket pocket, not managing to fit it in the pocket and finally putting it back in the bag. So you see, I needed a smaller and more practical solution. And voila, my Super Mama gave me this beauty in super strong Kangaroo leather (I know, weird). It's light, and it is exactly what I wanted. So I asked for another version. It's good to have a couple of different options... The strap is from Su Misura if you want one too!
I am much in love with the Italian countryside, burrata cheese, chocolate and my new peace necklace from Su Misura.
As mentioned a while back I was going to take my new iPad cover/clutch out for dinner. And what was planned to be a dinner ended up being more of a day out, and these pictures show it!
All day yesterday I sported these on my arm (and got several compliments). I think I am becoming a slight fan of orange, something I NEVER thought would happen. Then again I never thought I would think red and pink together looks ok, and I have been thinking that for a while...
A bit obsessive about this new Su Misura iPad cover and matching cup holder that spends a lot of time with me lately. The cover doubles as a clutch and right now it is in my bag filled with important papers, unimportant papers, a magazine that I intend to read at work and several pens. Yesterday it served it's most natural purpose when it held my iPad while we travelled around rainy London, avoiding tourists and deadly umbrellas on Oxford Street. And the coming weekend I will take it out for dinner, if it wants to come that is. I have great plans for you dear iPad cover/clutch. If only I had it in other colours, hint hint...
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
