So this is my favourite outfit. Ever. Bunad is the national costume in Norway, and there are tons of different ones. Usually you get this for your confirmation and you keep the same one for the rest of your life. Mine is from Gudbrandsdalen which is where my dads mother is from, and I think it's pretty amazing. I wear this about twice a year, maybe even just once. Which is for the 17th of May and maybe, just maybe, Christmas eve. Made from wool, with an underskirt, special shoes, a purse, a heavy and tight silver belt, more silver jewellery and a hat to top it off. How great does that sound? Even though I wore this all day on Saturday I can't wait to get back to Oslo for the 17th of May to wear this again. It makes me feel incredibly Norwegian, and a bit proud.
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
