Have I told you how much I love breakfast? Probably a couple of times like here and here. The thing is, I just love it. The atmosphere, the luxury of eating breakfast in a restaurant, reading the paper or a book and generally having all the time in the world. If you aren't having breakfast at home, you probably have a good day ahead of you. No disrespect to traditional home brekki, but sometimes old cereal or a banana just won't do. On another note, who doesn't love Notting Hill? Thought so! They have many good places for breakfast, don't forget it, and on REALLY good days you might make it to 2 of them before 11am. Life can be oh so good when it want's to.
Starting at Ottolenghi, with a coffee, before realising that they don't have a bathroom. Which is essential for someone who drinks tea in the morning. That stuff can be pretty serious. So then we moved on to 202, bigger, better (?). All I know is that they have a toilet, so let's do this. Guess what I ordered? Green tea, I know, will I ever learn? Let's face it: probably not. But that was not all! I had a hard time not ordering the porridge with caramelised bananas. If you are looking for good porridge, take a walk on the wild side and go to 202. The fun thing is really that 202 is also a store, so there are plenty of opportunities to shop in between courses.
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
