The sun is almost out, it's Saturday and I am just so excited for the weekend. Not that we have too many plans but tonight we are having pizza at a local place with some friends and I am going to have my fave pizza which is so good. Can't wait for that. And tomorrow it is time for me to tidy a bit in my closet, which I love doing, deal with some rose bushes in our communal garden and hopefully get to the park for a walk with the husband. I'm crossing my fingers for good weather.
This week I haven't been able to stop listening to Lionel Richie, he came up on my phone when it was on shuffle (after listening to Usher, as you do) and well, who doesn't love a bit of Lionel? No? No one? My fave have always been My Destiny, that song can't help but lift my spirits and put a smile on my face. I would like to think the song very accurately describes how my husband feels about me, that would be fab.
In other news the weather has been MUCH nicer this week which has meant that walks in the park are actually possible. Streatham common is the closest one to us and it is glorious in all its beauty when the sun is shining. And it's so calm and peaceful. Might be a different story on weekends when it no doubt is filled with excited children, but I guess I will find out tomorrow?
Also, this book seems like a great read if you are looking to change careers or find out a bit more about yourself. I am in the middle of moving my career focus from the Food and Beverage industry into HR (hopefully) and I am contemplating buying this book just to get me a bit further on my way.
Later this year we have a wedding to attend and I’m desperately trying to find a dress to wear so I had to take this quiz for some inspiration. The wedding we are going to is in Norway, but how I wish it was here instead. This place is at the absolute top of my travel wishlist and the only reason is basically because it is where they filmed Dirty Dancing.
With Brexit being a hot topic of discussion in the UK recently, this article explained a couple of things very straightforward.
Really random but my friend Millie just got a kitten (called Muffin!) and I think she really needs this print on her wall, because it is beyond cute.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
PS. I generally never have any political content on here because that’s not something I feel comfortable discussing and I don’t necessarily want my opinion on the internet. However, with so many very sad acts of terror and violence in the last year it is difficult to go about your normal life and not be heartbroken for our world and worried about our futures. I will never understand people that lack the ability to see the other side of a cause or an issue and that choose to use force and terror to convey their message and opinion. It might feel like there isn’t much we can do as just an individual in such a big world, but just try to be tolerating, kind, open and forgiving in everyday life.
