I love doing things myself because there is nothing like home made! So when I found a recipe for a sugar based body scrub I thought "bring it on!", and so here it is, my cinnamon sugar crub:
1 cup of raw sugar
1/2 cup of neutral oil, preferrably walnut if you can find
1 small spoon of cinnamon
Mix it all in a container and start scrubbing. You will smell like a clean and clear cinnabun! Nothing wrong with that...
The new Hermes movie, Hearts and Crafts, just made it on to my "to watch" list. Sneak peaks on Youtube look interesting, a look at the Hermes production from the inside. Only problem, there is no UK release date in the nearest future. I don't like waiting!
I know these videos has been pimped on soooo many blogs, but they ARE funny, even when watching them for the 8th time. Really. Click play, just do it!
Garance Doré has a great blog and has started doing little movies called "Pardon My French", this one is from NYC Fashion Week, I just love how she is so charming with a slight french accent.
If there is one place in London to have afternoon tea it is at The Dorchester Hotel. Friendly and attentive service with unlimited supply of sandwiches and scones. If you leave hungry, you didn't do it right! The decor reminds me of a colonial hotel, it's surprising to be in London when you leave the hotel rather than in some hotel in a former British colony (hello The Raffles in Singapore). It might be the palms that do it.
Etsy is a great place for people to display and sell their products and it is also amazing for those of us that like to buy stuff online. Yes, that's me. I would love a neon coloured sparkly thing like this really nice neclace from Rocks Paper Metal.
Of course Anna Dello Russo has 10 rules for fashion week front rows, and it's not "wear couture". I think her blog is a colourful and creative mess that I can't really understand, but the pictures are fun!
Derek Blasberg's video from the Stella McCartney dinner where parts of the dinner guests started to dance during the meal to show off the McCartney eveningwear. Visit Blasbergs blog here.
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
