The afternoon tea obsession is back, and I realised I have missed it. But sometimes you have to try some new things too and in the name of research we went searching for a vegan afternoon tea. On a very average Thursday afternoon we made our way to Queensgate to taste our way through a vegan feast. Oh, and most of it was raw as well. Basically healthy.
We started off with the usual, sandwiches, with all vegan and vegetarian fillings. Sometimes vegan things gets a bit boring for me, I enjoy my cheese, but the fillings were quite imaginative and fun, not that I am giving up dairy any time soon!
Then we moved on to the scones, which for a scone lover like me, were a bit of a dissapointment. Very thin and dense, they are not the best vegan scones I have tried and I have actually tried other vegan scones, no lies. The raw cakes were a lot more fun, there was a raw cheesecake type of thing that was pretty good and a passion fruit and coconut oil "cake" that I just couldn't get my head around. But it was all about the experience, right?
