Since it's so extremely easy to end up on the couch in front of the TV most nights of the week, every now and then the boyfriend and I spice it up with a date night. Usually we go out for dinner, but occasionally we make a serious meal at home and pretend we can't afford a TV. The most recent date night we booked a table at Evans & Peel, an underground style bar, where reservations are made over email and very little information is available online. Since we didn't know if we would be able to get a proper meal at the bar, we hunted around the area for an alternative and ended up at The Trubadour, which is just a really charming place.
You never really know if a place is going to be good or bad, but we were very pleasantly surprised by this place. We ate the most amazing empanadas, followed by a burger for me and fish&chips for the boyfriend. All yummy. And the best bit was the 2 for 1 drinks, let's get the party started!
After dinner we walked over to Evans & Peel for our 2 hour spot, they are a bit strict on the timing, and the tables are reserved for you for a limited time. We were happy to see that they had food on the menu, just a bit late as we were incredibly stuffed from dinner. They do mostly American tapas, but the food that went by our table looked good.
Drinks were good, but my favourite was obviously the Adam & Detect-Eve!
I'm Christine and I currently live in London with my husband where I do my best to go to as many restaurants as possible, bake, DIY and occasionally let my hair down and go to a museum. x
