The great thing about staying in an apartment when you travel is that you can have breakfast anywhere you want, and of you know me, you know breakfast is my absolute favourite meal. Since we stayed in Brooklyn we thought it would be great to try some local places and made our way to Egg in Williamsburg. Being slightly jet lagged we woke up early and were at Egg just 20 minutes after it opened, eager beavers. I was really looking forward to trying their food and went for the duck hash with eggs while the husband opted for something that reminded us of croque Monsieur.
Breakfast was delicious and exactly what I wanted, except the fact that they just had French press coffee. I only drink coffee in cafés/restaurants and only if it is a latte or cappuccino, pure coffee is not for me.
We then took the subway in to manhattan and walked around upper east side to see where the husband used I live and then see where I used to live in 2010. Turns out I was really bad at taking pictures until we made our way down to Soho to have some lunch.
We headed to Tacombi at Fonda Nolita to fill up with tacos and nachos, as you do. And then we walked to the Brooklyn bridge, and accross, to make up for he feast of food we had earlier.
Walking to the bridge and accross absolutely wore me out, to the point where we had to stop for a coffee just so I could rest my legs. After a short break back at the apartment we went to a little place just around the corner for ramen. The perfect ending to a long day.
